Welcome!

Hi, my name is Brittany, and I teach piano.  I live just outside of Tyler, Texas and am currently accepting new piano students.  Lessons are taught in my home studio on a weekly basis and more information about specifics can be found in the links at the top of this page.

Since the age of 5, I have enrolled in 13 years of private piano lessons and participated in 6 years of festivals and competitions receiving high honors and top scores.  In addition, I enrolled in vocal and choral training for 8 of those years which has given me a vast musical understanding.  I have began teaching private piano lessons 8 years ago.  I really enjoy playing the piano and my wish is to give others this wonderful skill.  I work to create a fun learning environment where students can gain musical skills.  I try to keep my studio full of encouragement and incentives to help students enjoy the process of learning to play the piano.

A music education is one of the best things you can give your child or yourself.  Music study teaches discipline, self-expression, reasoning, problem-solving and creative thinking, the value of hard work in achieving a goal, and conquering fears.  And of course, there are so many studies linking music study to improved performance in school.  The benefits of starting at a young age are many, but that doesn't mean starting at an older age is unsuccessful.  It is never too late to begin learning to play the piano!  At any age it has the potential to enrich your life and foster confidence as you develop a new found ability!

Music can be so fun!  It is a wonderful thing!  I have loved playing the piano and singing my entire life, and feel that it has brought me happiness in so many ways.  As a teacher, I love sharing that joy with others as they develop their talents and discover the joy that music can bring.
